Business English

Course Description

This is a distinct Business English elective course that teaches students the language of business.  With the most up-to-date materials for business English learners, students develop language skills, increase knowledge of key business concepts and expand their vocabulary.

The topics covered in this course include:  

International Marketing, Globalization, Business Across Cultures, International Trade, Management Strategies, and more.

Students will also acquire the skills needed to feel comfortable in business situations in English.  Situations such as:

Meetings, Negotiations, Interviews, Presentations, Telephone Calls, Networking, and Socializing. 

This course is well suited for individuals with and without work experience.

English for Health Care

Course Description

This elective course has been designed for individuals pursuing a career in health care, who need to use English for their work or studies.  The course includes practice in specialist vocabulary and a review of grammatical structures.

Student will acquire the English language skills they need to  communicate effectively with patients and other health care professionals. Emphasis is placed equally on speaking, reading and writing skills.
