English Language Programs (ESL) at Metropolitan College in Toronto, Canada

 Our interactive and communicative teaching style and learning materials will help you improve your speaking, writing, listening and reading skills.

The activities we do in class will help you communicate in English. Each week you will notice that you understand more when you listen and read and that people understand you better when you speak and write.

Our small group classes ensure that you receive the attention you need to achieve your goals.

Small classes also give you more opportunity to participate in conversation and begin to communicate from the very first day!

You will receive a Certificate of English Language Studies on your last day of class.

You can begin classes on any Monday and study for as many weeks as you choose.
After writing a placement test or taking a trial lesson, you will be placed in a program at one of the following English levels:

English levels
 
Beginner (level 1, 2) *
Intermediate (level 3, 4)
Advanced (level 5, 6)
 
If you are at the intermediate level the iSpeak ENGLISH intermediate program is suitable for you.
 
If you are at the advanced level the iSpeak ENGLISH Advanced program or the IELTS programs are suitable for you.
   
* we recommend that students who are not familiar with basic grammar and vocabulary begin their studies in the private one-on-one format before joining a group.

You can choose Full Time, or Intensive studies.

Full Time Program  (Monday to Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.)
 
Our iSpeak ENGLISH program focuses on spoken communication. Our IELTS program focuses on achieving a high score on the IELTS examination. While you improve the skills you want to focus on, the activities you do in class also help you improve other important skills, so that your learning is balanced.  As all language learning is interconnected, your instructor will help you achieve your specific goals and at the same time improve all of the skills below:

Full Time Program Tuition: $210 per week

Class Schedule
Small Group Classes: Monday to Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. 

Intensive Program  (Full Time ESL program + 2 hours of private elective class per week)

Intensive Program Tuition:  $285 per week

Class Schedule
Small Group Classes: Monday to Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.  
                                                  + PLUS
Private Lessons (elective): 1 day per week from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Intensive Program (Full Time + Elective)

Our Intensive program is made up of a combination of group lessons and private lessons.  It includes everything from the Full Time program PLUS a private elective class of your choice.

An Intensive program is perfect for you if you would like to prepare for a specific English proficiency exam or if you would like to improve your English skills in a specific area.

You can choose 1 of the following electives:
