The CILISAT
If you are interested in Community Interpreting, you may want to take the CILISAT examination to assess your language      skills.

Metropolitan College is a CILISAT Testing Centre.  You can register to take your test here in Toronto.

The Community Interpreter Language and Interpreting Skills Assessment Tool (CILISAT) is a provincially recognized testing system that allows potential interpreters to acquire professional accreditation and certification in any of the following 44 languages and dialects:

Online Community Interpreter Training Program
If you are interested in learning about the theory and practice of community interpreting, you may want to take an online Community Interpreter Training Program.

This program helps beginner community interpreters understand the basic principles involved in community interpreting. The program covers the fundamentals that the community interpreter needs to be aware of in order to be a good practitioner.

Metropolitan College is a Community Interpreter Training Program Testing Centre.  You can register for your online training through us and take your final test here in Toronto. 

Those who complete the online training and pass the Community Interpreter Training Program test will receive a diploma in Community Interpretation Protocols and Procedures.  This Diploma is issued by CISOC.
